Newburgh Girls Code Club is a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models, who use Computer Science to change the world. In our club, we are learning from fun and simple online coding tutorials, build community through interactive activities, and interacting with (and getting educated about!) inspiring role models. We developed 7 teams, or projects, through which we are designing and building this Girls Who Code Project webpage to showcase the work we're doing to solve real world problems that we care about through code.
In our club, we are encouraged to impact our community in a positive way -- through code. We are working with real Professional coders and interacting with fun online tutorials that are teaching us how to build animations, games, apps, websites and other fun things that we dream up! As a Cohort, the Fall 2019 Class of Newburgh Girls Who Code Club Coders have explored Scratch, Python, HTML / CSS, JavaScript, and Thunkable languages in order to realize the awesome projects we are working on!
